On the Initial Historical Component of the “Carol I” Museum of Brăila https://dj.univ-danubius.ro/index.php/AUDC/article/view/3873
In this article, I aim at investigating some aspects related in particular to the first period (1881-1886) of the existence of the “Carol I” Museum of Brăila, in order to bring to light some lesser-known details. I will start from a rather lapidary piece of information, which Atanasie Popescu noted in 1887, namely that (at that moment) “the scientific museum [owned] a small collection of physics instruments and a set of ancient coins”. The information is important, as it allows us to assume that the museum in question had a historical component from the very beginning (i.e. related to the science of history) and that it was not (at least in practice) intended exclusively for the natural sciences, as had been initially planned.
Cristinel Munteanu Copyright (c) 2025 Cristinel Munteanu https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://dj.univ-danubius.ro/index.php/AUDC/article/view/3873 Thu, 12 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Communicational Leadership in Crisis: Analysis of Leaders’ Communication Styles in Reputation Management in the Military Security Environment https://dj.univ-danubius.ro/index.php/AUDC/article/view/3420
In the contemporary military environment, crisis is no longer just an operational threat, but also a communication challenge with a direct impact on institutional reputation and public perception. This article investigates how senior military leaders manage communication in crisis situations, focusing on the communication styles adopted in moments of reputational tension. Through a content analysis applied to public speeches, official statements and media reactions from three recent crises (the Kabul incident – 2021, classified information leaks in Eastern Europe, disinformation campaigns in Ukraine), the research identifies the dominant patterns of communication leadership: proactive vs. reactive, institutionalized vs. personalized, transparent vs. opaque. The results indicate that communication styles focused on assumption, narrative coherence, and balance between authority and empathy contribute significantly to maintaining public trust and limiting the negative impact of the crisis. The article emphasizes the importance of developing strategic communication skills in the training of military leaders, especially in a context characterized by media pressure, information warfare, and increased demands for institutional transparency.
Cornel Zamfirescu Copyright (c) 2025 Cornel Zamfirescu https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://dj.univ-danubius.ro/index.php/AUDC/article/view/3420 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Role of Adaptive Information Systems in Detecting Disruptive Communication Signals https://dj.univ-danubius.ro/index.php/AUDC/article/view/3425
This paper analyzes the role of adaptive information systems in the early identification of potentially disruptive communication signals, in a context marked by information instability, digital acceleration and media pressure on institutions. Faced with the intensification of phenomena such as ideological polarization, the dissemination of disinformation and the emergence of radicalizing discourses, the ability of organizations to anticipate and interpret deviations from communication norms becomes essential, in order to protect decisional coherence and public trust. The paper is based on recent contributions from the fields of semantic analysis, natural language processing and machine learning, offering an integrated approach on how digital infrastructures can support contextual analysis of messages and the detection of weak signals. Adaptive information systems are described as complex algorithmic entities, capable of processing large volumes of unstructured data, identifying discursive patterns and generating, in real time, information risk scores. By integrating artificial intelligence and semantic analysis technologies, these systems support rapid, contextually relevant and anticipatory institutional responses. The paper thus proposes a conceptual framework applicable to the development of proactive mechanisms for discursive surveillance and communication instability management, with strategic relevance for educational, administrative and governmental environments.
Catalin-Relu Basescu Copyright (c) 2025 Catalin-Relu Basescu https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://dj.univ-danubius.ro/index.php/AUDC/article/view/3425 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Relation between Sports Chronicle and Literature in the Communist Era. An Approach to the Styles of Ioan Chirilă and Fănuș Neagu https://dj.univ-danubius.ro/index.php/AUDC/article/view/3728
This study aims at exploring the way in which the Romanian sports chronicle, during the communist era, went beyond the limits of the traditional journalism, evolving into a new form of literary art under the influence of Ioan Chirilă’s and Fănuș Neagu’s narrative styles. Through the stylistic analysis of their texts, this article will prove that the sports chronicle functioned as a subtle means of social critique and also as an expression of creative liberty in a context dominated by severe censorship.
Mirela Curca Copyright (c) 2025 Mirela Curca https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://dj.univ-danubius.ro/index.php/AUDC/article/view/3728 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000
