Even if the priority of educational training is intellectual development, its purpose is also aimed at training people who have skills for their future profession. Many articles and research have focused on students and their learning environment studying what helps them or not to access the professions for which they have been trained. One of the most important factors contributing to school success is self-esteem because self-esteem interferes with good academic learning. The development of self-esteem is shaped by life-long learning experiences, the dynamic process of individual perspective and the qualities of the self. However, the culture and social context have proven to be factors that interfere with self-esteem interpretations because when society's expectations do not match with their actual performance, the self-esteem can be affected.

The impact of export goods and services on Iraq's gross domestic product from 1972 to 2022

This study aims to investigate and analyze the effects of exports of goods and services on GDP and the relationship between exports of goods and services and GDP from 1972 to 2022 in Iraq using annual data from the World Bank database. This study suggests having a positive impact of exports of goods and services on GDP and intended to have a long-run relationship between exports of goods and services and GDP. According to the results of the Least Squares Model which show that exports of goods and services have a positive impact on GDP. According to the results of the Johansen Cointegration Test, there is a long-term relationship between exports of goods and services and GDP in the Iraqi economy from 1972 to 2022.

Bastroe Canal and the Convention on Environnemental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (ESPOO Convention)

In order to ensure an environnemental governance, the transparency of the decisions that implies the impact transboundary on the environnement should be guaranteed. Therefore, the Convention on environnemental impact assessment in a transboundary context, so called the EPSOO Convention, offers the necessary means for the signatory parties to evaluate the impact for the activities at a very incipient stade of planification. Moreover, it forces those parties to notify and consult each other on the activities which could have a negative impact on the environnement. Besides this convention, there is also a strategic Protocol which requires to the parties to anticipe the negative consequences and that the decision should be made having into consideration those negative aspects. Despite a consolidated international legal framework in terms of prevention, the construction project and the maintenance of the Bâstroe canal, a waterway Danube - Black Sea, arouses interest at national and international level. We aim to analyze if Ukraine has respected the international ecological binding clauses in order to avoid an negative impact on the environnement, above all in Danube Delta ecosystem. Thereby, we analyze the importance of this canal for Ukraine, the position of the Romanian authorities and that of the international community.

The paper presents aspects of the significant impact that digital communication has on society, and the advantages, such as quick access to information, global connectivity, and the ability to interact with people around the world. Nevertheless, with the explosion of digital technology, certain dangers and challenges have also arisen. One of the main dangers of digital communication is the lack of privacy and data security; the spread of misinformation and fake news can have severe consequences for society, from influencing public opinion to affecting democracy and political stability. Also, excessive reliance on digital technology can lead to social isolation and diminished interpersonal communication skills. It is essential to be aware of these risks and take steps to minimize them.

Effect of Earnings Quality on the Firm Value of Consumer Goods Manufacturing Companies in Nigeria

This study examines the effect of earnings quality on the firm value of Nigerian firms that manufacture consumer products using static and dynamic models. Earnings quality was proxied by an accrual-based score, and firm value was proxied by the ratio of share price to book value. From 2012 to 2021, data from the annual reports of a selection of consumer goods manufacturers listed on the Nigerian Group of Exchanges was used as a secondary source of information. In this investigation, panel data regression and panel vector autoregressive are used as estimation methods. According to the static model, earnings quality has a positive but insignificant impact on the value of a company. In addition, the results of the granger causality test demonstrated that earnings quality cannot be used to predict future firm value, and that earnings quality has a negative and insignificant influence on firm value in the short term. Thus, it was determined that earnings quality has no effect on the long-term or short-term firm value. The study concluded that earnings quality has no significant impact on the firm value of Nigerian companies that manufacture consumer products. In light of this, the study recommends that the management of companies that manufacture consumer products use an accrual-based score as a measure of earnings quality for informative earnings management, which will increase firm value.

The Role of Digitalization in Enhancing the Cognitive-Developmental Environment of a Preschool Education Institution

The paper examines the role of digitalization in the process of enhancing the cognitive and developmental environment of preschool education institutions. Focusing on early childhood education, the author explores how the use of digital technologies can improve children's learning and development.

The study analyzes the advantages of digitalization in preschool education, such as access to a range of educational resources, interactivity, individualized learning, and stimulation of children's creativity and imagination. It is proven that the use of digital tools such as computers, tablets, interactive whiteboards, multimedia presentations, and educational programs can make the learning process more meaningful and engaging for young children.

The challenges and limitations associated with digitalization in preschool education are also investigated, such as the risk of excessive screen time, the need for qualified pedagogical staff and appropriate resources, and the impact on children's social-emotional development. Recommendations are proposed for the effective implementation of digitalization in preschool education, including ensuring a balance between digital and non-technological teaching methods, increasing supervision of technology use, and teaching children digital literacy.

The findings of this study contribute to a better understanding of how digital technologies can enrich the cognitive and developmental environment in preschool education institutions and provide recommendations for successful implementation of digitalization to enhance the quality of education for preschool-aged children.

Social Aspect of Development of the Bulgarian Ethnogeographic System of the Ukrainian Danube

Based on the concept of ethnogeographic systems developed by the author, a study was made of the specifics of the social aspects of the life of the population of the ethnogeographic formation of the Ukrainian Danube with different ethnic composition of the population. In one of the most multi-ethnic regions of the state, where Ukrainians, Bulgarians, Russians, Moldavians, Gagauzes and others live compactly, the rights of the population to observe and develop the ethnic identity of the population are respected. Each community is characterized by a peculiar approach to preserving the ethnic identity of the population. The author conducted a sociological study, the results of which determined the characteristics of interethnic tolerance of the population and the ethnic-language situation in the region. The current stage of development of the Bulgarian diaspora of the country is characterized by the intensification of ethnocultural and ethnopolitical life. The activation of the revival of the culture and traditions of the Bulgarians is associated with the activities of the Association of Bulgarians of Ukraine. Her activities are aimed at reviving the language, traditions and culture of the Bulgarians. Bulgarians take a more active part in the political life and processes of state administration and local self-government. An ethnosociological study showed that Bulgarians of the interfluve region are characterized by a proud attitude to their own ethnonym, stratification of the population by income level, 100% use of the mother language in everyday life and a relatively high level of knowledge of Ukrainian and Russian. The negative impact on ethnic self-identification of representatives of the main communities of the region has a socio-economic factor. This is especially clearly manifested among the descendants of the Transdanubian migrants, for whom identification with the inhabitants of a particular settlement is of great importance. Intensive inter-river ethnic processes are inherently ethno-evolutionary with clearly expressed intra-ethnic consolidation of almost all communities. The prospect of the development of EGS is associated primarily with the need to develop the labor-intensive sectors of agriculture and the processing of local raw materials.

New technologies - a source of inspiration and a tool for interactive and immersive experiences

New technologies are influencing the sphere of performing arts with new possibilities for storytelling and the possibility of building a different kind of bridge between artistic creation and spectators. The objective of this article is to demonstrate how a context involving new technologies can facilitate an interactive and immersive environment in which the spectator can easily venture without feeling that his involvement in the artistic product implies an uncomfortable activity. In this article I will use as a case study a performing arts research project conducted in the summer of 2022 entitled Transsystemic Signals 2.0. This project brought together theatre artists and digital arts artists and aimed to explore the innovative-creative potential of the tools offered by new media. To analyse this research project I will first define what constitutes the interactive and immersive nature of an artistic product. During the course of my scientific research I have participated in several projects that integrated new technologies and I have fulfilled several functions: actor, dancer, director, choreographer, technician, cameraman, lighting technician, digital artist, which helped me to have an objective vision of the phenomenon.

The present paper aims to explore the functional approach to translation, which focuses on the purpose, function and intended effect of the translated text. The main proponents of the functionalist approaches Katharina Reiss, Hans Vermeer, Christiane Nord acknowledge that translation does not imply only linguistic correspondence between the target and source text and promote the idea according to which it is the communicative function of the text in the target culture that determines the method of translation. They start from the assumption that the text-type allows the translator to recognize the function and the purpose of the text as well as the author’s intention. Thus, s/he will inevitably resort to different techniques and strategies in order to successfully render the source text meaning into the target language. The examination of the most important studies related to this approach has provided us the theoretical framework that will serve as a foundation for our research: the translation of medical/pharmaceutical texts.

Translations of Serhiy Zhadan’s Poetry in Intercultural Communication

Our investigation looks into the role of poems of the Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan translated into English and used in intercultural communication, as well as peculiarities of their translation. In the Danube region, where the echoes of war and displacement are felt, Zhadan’s poems find a profound connection between the struggles faced by local inhabitants and the experiences of those seeking refuge. The research objective of our work is study of inner mechanisms of translating poetry texts to reach lexico-grammatical, stylistic, and pragmatic adequacy of translation. The article analyzes imagery in Serhiy Zhadan's three poems. The use of images of war and peace, our memories, home and other motifs is investigated. The research is based on the literary and translation analysis of the poems, as well as on the use of methods of stylistic analysis and literary criticism. The role of Serhiy Zhadan’s poems in promoting Ukrainian literature in international communication is highlighted.

The Danube as an Artistic Image in European Modern Literature (Based on the Material of the Book "Danube" by Claudio Magris)

Claudio Magris is an Italian writer, journalist, essayist; laureate of many awards, including “Erasmus” (2001) and the Charles Veyonne Award (2009). His book “Danube”, which was written in 1986, won the Bagutta prize and is devoted to Central Europe, the history and culture of countries along the entire river flow of the Danube, the most important artery in Europe, – in the most expressive forms and will be the subject of scientific and journalistic conversation.

The idea that the peaceful coexistence of different peoples, the combination and fusion of different elements is the key to a prosperous, happy life, runs through the entire book. At the same time, Magris emphasizes that not only peoples, but also each person is the result of mixing different traditions and cultures.

Getting to know the “Danube” is really enriching: the author not only sincerely shares his knowledge, but also teaches to see the events and characters differently, in fact, teaches to think differently. Today this book acquires modern sound and understanding.

European Educational Principles of Forming Foreign Language Communicative Competence among Students of Non-Linguistic University Faculties

Abstract: A foreign language becomes an effective tool for achieving professional and personal goals, and a personal and activity-based approach in teaching helps to develop a student's value attitude both to the process of learning a foreign language and to the results of own activities, minimizing the usual formal attitude to a foreign language as only a discipline included in the curriculum. The aim of the study is to investigate principles of forming foreign language communicative competence among students of non-linguistic university faculties adopted by the Council of Europe as Pan-European recommendations on language education. Taking into account the difference between the concepts of "competence" and "competency", competencies are part of the whole, forming its unity and constituting the activity side of using a foreign language, and competence is a personal quality, including an emotional and value attitude to the actions performed. Actually, proficiency in a foreign language can be competence as a separately considered property of a person and competency as part of the general professional training of a future specialist. The components of competence are competencies that provide speech and non-speech activities of a language user. Competencies are formed and developed in the process of university studying.

Ways of Developing the Media Literacy of the Future English Language Teacher in the Conditions of Modern War

The problem of counteracting media manipulation has become particularly acute in the conditions of modern war. The author considers media literacy as a key competence of the future teacher. Higher education should improve knowledge of how to counter hostile propaganda and disinformation, maintain emotional and psychological stability, avoid mass panic, and make correct decisions based on carefully verified information. The future English teacher must master the algorithm for checking the quality of the content of Ukrainian and foreign media; learn to research the expertise of authors, sources of information, in particular, Telegram channels; master digital tools for quick and effective photo and video authentication; familiarize yourself with the key narratives and tactics of Russian propaganda in order to successfully counter them; learn to identify manipulative media content, distinguish between disinformation and harmful propaganda narratives, in particular, to be able to independently create quality content.

Specifics of the Calendar Rituals of Ethnic Romanians of Bessarabia

The article examines the calendar rituals of ethnic Romanians of Bessarabia, since it is folk festivals, customs and rituals, as components of traditional culture, that reflect the national characteristics of the Romanian community, characterizing it as an ethnically distinctive organization. The purpose of the study is to reconstruct the complex of calendar rituals of ethnic Romanians of southern Bessarabia, to identify its internal structure and content in the system of traditional culture, and to clarify its local specifics. To achieve this aim, it is necessary to solve the following tasks: to outline the place and role of calendar rituals in the traditional ethnic culture of the inhabitants of Bessarabia and to characterize folk holidays, customs, and rituals of the calendar cycle. The use of the field research method (survey, questionnaire, individual interview, direct observation) allowed us to determine the specifics of the traditional culture of ethnic Romanians of Bessarabia, to identify common features of Romanian calendar rituals in the context of the ethno-cultural landscape of the Bessarabian region. The study of the ritual poetry of the Romanian ethnic group of the Ukrainian Danube region has shown that the entire annual cycle of folk rituals and holidays is consistent with the seasons of the folk calendar. A detailed study of rituals, customs, and folk holidays as an important component of traditional Romanian culture made it possible to consider the calendar ritualism in a complex and to trace the connection between the Slavic and Romanic layers of folk ritualism of the calendar cycle in both historical and functional aspects.

Studying and popularizing the cultural heritage of ethnic groups is the most important task of the state's cultural policy. At present, in studies devoted to the literary text, the latter is considered not from a historical, bibliographic or psychological point of view, but as a phenomenon of language from a formal and semantic point of view. The sphere of interest of textual scholars is the various language levels and linguistic features of the text, which are primarily related to the interdisciplinary direction of all scientific knowledge.

The fact that a text is not limited to one and only one correct interpretation has led scholars to the conclusion that a text is not just a linguistic unit. It is a complex system, and, like any system in nature, it should be studied taking into account internal and intersystemic interrelationships. This has led to the emergence of related sciences, the subject of which is the text as a means of language communication. Among the relatively new areas in the study of text are functional stylistics, linguistic stylistics, and text linguistics, which study the structure of "text - language communication," communication between the author and the reader, between the reader and the main characters or actants of a fiction.

Essentials of Philosophical-Meditative Form Literature

Countless studies have been written about the role of belles-lettres in the formation of personality. We propose to approach in the following lines the literary works of a Romanian writer who is appreciated, at the due value, by the yesterday and nowadays readers – George Meniuc. As the author of poetry, prose writings, literary essays, translations, George Meniuc contributed substantially by his literary art to the promotion of our national beliefs. In this respect it is worth mentioning the variety of artistic approaches used by the writer in his pieces of literature, he being appreciated by the scientists in domain as one of the most valued authors of the short narrative genre. Namely in short-stories literary genre G. Meniuc’s aesthetic preferences are expressed alongside with clarity and analytical strength, special sensitivity and seductive power of his meditations on life and destiny in the light of Romanian traditions. As confirmation to the stated things would be the literary essay written by G. Meniuc, with a suggestive title Miorița.

In this respect we’ll refer to a short passage from this literary writing with a deep philosophical-meditative character: “The Danube was glittering as a perch with scales in the sun, and, seized in a mesh of enchantment, as an ivy my being was whirling, I wanted to sing, to sip the Danube as dew, and love for life, faith in people, thirst for work, to turn all these into foliage, into flowers, into grass, into the murmur of water… As if I had crossed a border of life’s misteries”.

Historical аnd Ethnological Characteristics оf Ethnic Romanians оf Bessarabia

The aim of this paper is to study the main stages of the development and settlement of the territory of Southern Bessarabia by ethnic Romanians, as well as the peculiarities of the formation of Romanian folk culture. In order to achieve this aim, it is necessary to solve the following tasks: to study ethnogenetic and demographic processes in the formation of the folk culture of the Romanians of Southern Bessarabia, to identify the influence of other ethnic groups on Romanian national self-awareness. In this study, a set of research methods is used: genetic and historical method; formal and typological method; functional method. The actuality of the research lies in the fact that for the first time the folk culture of the Romanian population of Bessarabia is considered as a result of the interaction of integration, adaptation and transformation processes that formed the multiethnic community of the Romanian ethnic group. The paper examines the state of two parallel vectors – «Moldovanism» and «Romanism» – which define two identities, and also distinguishes two stages of Moldovan ethnogenesis: the formation of the Eastern Romanian ethnic community and the formation of the Moldovan nation itself. The study shows that the formation of the modern national-regional picture of the Bessarabian region is evidence not only of the long process of formation of the ethnogenesis of the Romanian-speaking population, but also of the life of representatives of other ethnic groups.

A national poet never ignores the fundamental landmarks of a people. This is also the case of Mihai Eminescu, the one who builds a series of landmarks in his own mind, which he will never give up. The first encounter of the Danube in his imagination is in national culture, where the name of the river is often mentioned. During the period of adolescent peregrination he physically meets the river; as a student in Vienna, he has numerous stops on its banks. The poetic creation has its exposed mentions, related to its grandiose symbolism. Political journalism, especially that of Timpul, has got in Eminescu an attentive and applied analyst to the political issues raised by the interests of the great powers vis-à-vis the strategic and economic potential of the Danube in general and the mouths of the Danube in particular. Taken together, all of this entitles us to speak of an eminescian obsession with the Danube.
