Abstract

The present paper presents with example the actual status of E-Government in Romania.
We start with an introduction which presents the importance of government implications in public
procurement for innovation with concrete data of government’s investments and policies for
innovation. In this section we include objectives and prior work. We approach our research by
presenting web 2. 0 technologies for E-government services with examples from other countries. The
article focuses on the actual status of E-government in Romania. The main conclusions of the paper
are presented in the end of the article. Our results are summarized in a discussion section. The value
and implications of our research is in the area of governmental public sector innovation.
